报告人简介:

Daoyong Yang is a professor in the Petroleum Systems Engineering (PSE) Program in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Regina. He holds BSc and PhD degrees in petroleum engineering from the China University of Petroleum and a PhD degree in petroleum systems engineering from the University of Regina. Previously, Yang worked as a petroleum engineer for 3 years in the PetroChina TuHa Oilfield Company, CNPC. He also worked as a reservoir engineer for 4 years in the Software Development and Information Centre of Petroleum Engineering, CNPC. In addition, he served as the Chair of the PSE Program for 5 years. Yang’s major research areas include reservoir description and dynamics, assisted history matching, formation evaluation, phase behaviour, production optimization, CO2 EOR and storage, pressure transient analysis, reservoir nanoagents, artificial lift methods, interfacial interactions in EOR processes, heavy oil recovery, unconventional resources exploitation, and oilfield wastewater treatment. He has authored or coauthored over 100 refereed-journal articles and conference papers. Yang is the recipient of the SPE Canada Region Regional Formation Evaluation Award in 2011 and SPE Canada Region Regional Reservoir Description and Dynamics Award in 2013, respectively.
